Text Box: Selecting a law firm to represent you in a legal claim or dispute is the single most important decision affecting the outcome you will make in that matter. I have created this site to provide you with information about my firm, since we have always refrained from the unseemly practice of advertising, e.g., television ads, billboards, the backs of buses or park benches. Lately, it seems, the entire legal profession, particularly trial lawyers, has been defined by those who run their practices like businesses. A client is not a customer; a lawyer’s duty to his client is far higher. A lawyer is his client’s fiduciary; the client’s interests come first. Our clients come to us by referral from lawyers, former clients, or in response to our general reputation.
A simple truth is that not all lawyers have the requisite experience or talent to try cases. Those who lack either won’t admit it. There are even some who are proud to consider their mistakes or lapses as “experience.” As a prospective client, you should visit the lawyer’s office, sit across the desk from him or her, and make an informed personal decision as to the lawyer’s genuineness. And, don’t assume that a law degree and state licensure alone confer competence.
This site will provide you with useful information about our firm’s standing, as well as our qualifications. Common sense tells you that not all lawyers are the same. You will learn, for example, that our firm maintains the highest rating from Martindale-Hubbell, a national lawyer peer rating entity utilized by the legal profession and the judiciary for over 75 years in making judgments on lawyers’ legal abilities and their integrity, and so, our profession also recognizes that not all lawyers are the same. Our firm has always been fully staffed since its inception in 1976, and we have practiced at the same single location since 1982, in our own free-standing building in downtown Clearwater, factors to consider when you hear some ad lawyers tout their “satellite offices” in countless “convenient” locations.
One final note. I wrote this introduction myself. Lawyering is as much about comprehensive reading and effective writing, as it is about talk, which we learned at an early age can be the instrument of hustlers.
Thank you for visiting our site. I hope the information here will be helpful to you.
